LASER CAPTURE MICRODISSECTION SERVICE

CaresBio offers pathologist-directed laser capture microdissection (LCM) services. This innovative technology allows for the isolation of single specific cells of interest (e.g. tumor or stromal cells) from fresh frozen or FFPE tissue sections under microscopic supervision.

Services can be performed from either using tissue blocks or prepared sections that are provided by the client. Cells of interest can be harvested either directly or by isolating them by removing unwanted surrounding cells and structures.

In addition, methods for preparing protein lysate preparations from either frozen or formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples are available.

LCM services for isolating cells can be performed as part of an integrated service that involves genomics and or proteomic analysis, or can be provided as a stand-alone service in situations where the investigator prefers to conduct their own internal analysis of the LCM-prepared materials.

Further analytical services provided:

Isolation of DNA and RNA

PCR-based detection of mutations and DNA/RNA sequencing

Preparation of protein lysates

Combination of LCM and proteomics

RNA-Seq

Western Blot

ELISA
